The reports claimed that it will be more approachable for newcomers, which could suggest anything from a Battle Royale mode to a PvE mode in the vein of Firefight. Windows Central previously reported that Certain Affinity is supposedly working on a new Halo Infinite game mode with the codename Tatanka. Season 2 will hopefully change that for the better, but this reveal by Certain Affinity hints toward longer-term additions to the game. Halo Infinite has come under a lot of critical judgment from fans due to a lack of new content. In the announcement, the studio wrote, “we’re honored to say we are deepening our relationship with 343 and have been entrusted with further evolving Halo Infinite in some new and exciting ways.” Yesterday, the developer announced on Twitter that it is becoming more involved with Halo Infinite going forward. Developer Certain Affinity has been a support studio on various Halo games dating all the way back to Halo 2.
